Tyler King

High School Director of Player Advancement

Tyler King is a 2013 graduate of Kingwood High School, where he was a three-year letterman in baseball. King then went on to the University of Texas at Austin; while on the Forty Acres, he worked for the Longhorn baseball team for one season and then reported on the team as a student journalist during his final two years on campus. He ultimately graduated from UT in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. After receiving his diploma, King took a job as Special Assistant Intern to the President in the Texas League, an AA minor league baseball affiliate, where he spent one season. Then, in 2019, he spent four months as Scouting Intern for Prep Baseball Report in Houston before transitioning to an internship position with the Milwaukee Brewers that was based out of the team’s Arizona spring training complex; in that role, he served as a professional scout and handled Trackman operations. After his internship with the Brewers, King returned to Houston in 2020 and has subsequently worked with PBR Texas as a Houston-area scout and Junior Future Games director.
