FAVORITE BASEBALL PLAYER GROWING UP: Dave Parker
Patrick Davis is originally from the South Bend, IN area and is a graduate of Indiana University. He lettered three years in both football and baseball while in high school. He began coaching baseball and football at Marian High School in South Bend from 1995-1999. In 1999, he moved to Humble, TX, where he began coaching football and baseball at Eisenhower High School. He was involved in the state championship 6A football game as a coach in 1999 and the semifinals in 2000. He also served as the varsity assistant baseball coach at Eisenhower. He then moved to Cypress Ridge High School to act as varsity baseball assistant from 2004-2012. During Davis’s tenure there, Cy-Ridge made the baseball playoffs during five of his eight years as a member of the coaching staff. In 2012, Davis became the head baseball coach at Klein Forest High School, where he remained for nine years. He led Klein Forest to its first winning season in 18 years in 2016 and was voted 15-6A Coach of the Year. He also helped 19 student athletes sign baseball scholarships and helped Kidany Salva (Minnesota Twins, 2016) and Bryant Salgado (Houston Astros, 2021) sign with Major League Baseball teams. Davis retired in August of 2021 and is using Houston Wildcatters as a way to continue to impart his knowledge and love of baseball to the future of the sport.
