FAVORITE BASEBALL PLAYER GROWING UP: Jose Cruz

Coach Lewis spent all of his formative years under the tutelage of Texas Hall of Famer and Chicago Cub Dyain Frazier Sr. He played varsity baseball for three years for Kashmere High School from 1986-89. Coach Lewis then began volunteering as a coach in his early twenties and was tasked by Mr. Frazier with leading the East Houston Twins organization in the roles of both President and coach, overseeing the development of hundreds of disadvantaged youths ages 6 to 14. He is currently a captain for the Harris County Precinct 3 Constables Office and has served the community as a police officer for twenty years. He loves teaching the game of baseball to children and is humbled by the opportunity to instill lasting life lessons into young ball players.
