FAVORITE BASEBALL PLAYER GROWING UP: Kirby Puckett

Coach Harvey was a four-year letterman on the varsity high school baseball team in Rock Island, IL, where he was selected Player of the Year and was named to the all-state team. From 1991 to 1993, Harvey played at Blackhawk College, where he was a JUCO All-American and finished seventh in the nation in total stolen bases. Then, from 1993 to 1995, Harvey attended South Carolina Aiken University on scholarship, where he played under the guidance of Coach Gary Gilmore. His coaching experience includes 28 years total – including six years at the high school varsity level –and additional time spent as a private instructor. Since 2005, Coach Harvey has spent time helping to open The Zone Facility and Dynasty Baseball in Kingwood, serving as a co-owner.
