Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Jackson Hydorn’s passion for baseball began when he moved to Houston at the age of seven. Finally able to play in organized leagues, Jackson’s love for the game took off. He attended Pearland High School, where he played baseball, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.

Jackson’s skills earned him a baseball scholarship to Frontier Community College. After his freshman year, he transferred to Prairie View A&M University, where he continued to excel as a catcher and first baseman. Unfortunately, a combination of herniated disks in his lower back, and a broken left wrist brought an early end to his playing career.

Determined to stay involved in the sport he loves, Jackson embraced an opportunity offered by Coach Riggins to become a student assistant at PVAMU. He spent two seasons coaching at Prairie View, gaining valuable experience and insight into the game from the coaching perspective.

After graduating, Jackson began coaching youth baseball in the Cypress/Tomball area, where his dedication and knowledge of the game quickly stood out. His passion for developing young players and his deep-rooted love for baseball have now led him to join the coaching staff of the Houston Wildcatters, where he continues to inspire and guide the next generation of athletes.
