Second Annual Wildcatters Day: A Celebration of Community and Baseball

On Saturday, August 10, the Houston Wildcatters baseball organization hosted its Second Annual Wildcatters Day at Spindle Tap Brewery, marking a memorable end to the spring season. The event brought together players, coaches, and families for a day filled with fun, food, and festivities, embodying the spirit of community that lies at the heart of the Wildcatters.

The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as families enjoyed a variety of activities, including inflatables, putt-putt, wiffleball, basketball, and more. A live DJ kept the energy high, providing a lively soundtrack for the day’s events. Food trucks lined up to serve delicious hot dogs, wings, and snow cones, ensuring that everyone had something to snack on while they mingled and made memories.

One of the highlights of the day was the school supply drive, where families could bring donations in exchange for raffle tickets. The school supply drive benefited BEAR (Be A Resource), an organization dedicated to providing hope and help to at-risk children in the greater Houston area. This added a meaningful touch to the celebration, reminding everyone of the importance of giving back to the community.

The event also featured an opportunity for parents to try on Wildcatters uniforms and purchase team swag, allowing them to show off their pride for the organization.
